The final version of Windows 11 25H2 (2025 Update) is officially here. If your PC is already running version 24H2, you don’t need to reinstall Windows — you can simply apply the Enablement Package (KB5054156) to switch over. For those on 23H2 or Windows 10, a full ISO is required.

In this guide, you’ll find the direct Microsoft download links for the eKB and ISO files, along with clear steps to install and fix common issues.

Microsoft Post:

25H2 vs 24H2 – What’s the Difference?

  • Both versions share the same core system.
  • If you’re already on 24H2, the change to 25H2 is just a version switch via the eKB file.
  • If you’re on 23H2 or Windows 10, you need the full ISO image to upgrade or clean install.
  • No major new features are included — it’s more of a technical update for versioning and cumulative updates.

Option A: Upgrade with Enablement Package (24H2 → 25H2)

  1. Download the EKBKB5054156 (.msu file) for your device:
  2. Double-click the .msu file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Restart when prompted — your system will boot into Windows 11 25H2.

Tips2Fix:
– Run Windows Update first to install pending updates.
– Create a System Restore point before applying the update.

Option B: Install from ISO (24H2 / Windows 10 → 25H2)

  1. Mount the ISO in File Explorer → run setup.exe.
  2. Or create a bootable USB with Rufus for a clean installation.

Tips2Fix:
– Always back up your files.
– Free at least 20 GB of storage space.
– Disconnect unnecessary devices (USBs, printers, external drives) to avoid driver issues.
